To utilise the Audio Training wizard, your computer must be fitted with a functioning sound card and either a headset and microphone or, speaker and microphone or, Polycom "Soundport PC" which is a hands free speaker-phone designed to work with PC sound cards.
The Audio Training wizard is presented at the completion of the registration and login process. It may also be accessed by running NuPhone and selecting Tools -> Audio Training, when NuPhone is not on a call or in a room.
This wizard ensures the audio components of your computer are correctly functioning, positioned in relation to you and each other and tuned to your voice for optimum performance with NuPhone. It is compulsory to complete this wizard before using NuPhone to speak with others.
- NuPhone must be informed which audio input and output device (your PC may have more than one) is to be used. In order to select the appropriate device a dialog box similar to that depicted below shall appear.
- Select the appropriate recording (input) and playback (output) device from the available options displayed in the list boxes. Then click Next to continue.
- Using the dialog box similar to that shown below you must now inform NuPhone if you are intending to use NuPhone with a headset and microphone or speaker and microphone by selecting the appropriate option and clicking Next. If using a Polycom Soundport PC, select "Headset Microphone".
