Firewall Wizard

The Network & Firewall Connectivity Wizard depicted below is automatically presented after the Installation Wizard. It can also be manually accessed when running NuPhone by selecting Tools -> Network & Firewall Wizard when NuPhone is not in a room or on a call. This wizard checks the local network, firewall and Internet connectivity between the computer running NuPhone and the NuPhone servers.

1. Run NuPhone and select Tools -> Network & Firewall Wizard. Click Next to start the wizard.

2. The results of the test will be displayed in a dialog box similar to that shown below which depicts good connectivity.

3. If any of the tests do not pass then a dialog box detailing the errors similar to that shown below will be presented. Unless these problems are rectified and all tests are subsequently passed you will not be able to use NuPhone to speak with and see others.

4. Where a report indicates one or multiple errors, click Next to produce a connectivity fault report similar to that shown below. This is extremely useful as it may be emailed to your network manager or system provider. If you do not have access to these folk try speaking with a colleague who is informed on these matters. This report will greatly assist them in understanding the nature of the fault and enable them to appropriately configure your local area network, firewall and or Internet connection.

5. Click finish to complete this wizard. Remember, you must successfully complete this wizard, that is have no connectivity errors before you can successfully use NuPhone to communicate with others.
