NuPhone provides a presence detection facility enabling users to ascertain if and when another user logs on to NuPhone. It also indicates their availability, e.g. are they Busy or Away from their desk, etc.
Select a contact from within the Contacts List by left clicking once on the contact name and the NuPhone Client performs a presence-check to see if that person is logged in and available. The result of conducting a presence check for a specific user is indicated by displaying one of the following icons next to the user's name:
Logged in and available. |
Busy - logged in, but in a call or room (may still be called). |
Not logged in. |
Away - logged in, but status set to Away. |
Do not Disturb - logged in, but status set to do not disturb. |
Conference Manager user, cannot be called. |
The presence-check repeats approximately every minute while a name is selected/highlighted. If the user was initially not available and at a later time becomes available while their name is highlighted, a text balloon will be displayed informing you of the user's availability and a "ding" sound played.
