How to Use

User Status

To configure the user status of NuPhone your computer must be running NuPhone and connected to the Internet.

When you are not available to receive calls you can configure NuPhone to automatically inform users who use NuPhone to call you that you are either Away or Do not wish to be disturbed. The default setting is Available. NuPhone automatically informs users who call when you are already on a call that you are Busy. They may still call and you may choose to answer thereby including the caller into a conference call. To select Away or Do not disturb:

  1. Open the Status and Response Message window in one of the following ways:
    1. Click File then My Status, or
    2. Right click on the NuPhone icon in the system tray and select My Status, or
    3. Double click the left status segment at the bottom of the NuPhone client.
  2. Select either Away or Do not disturb. This causes the selected status to be displayed to users who call you. NuPhone will not notify you of incoming calls when either Away or Do not disturb has been selected. The current mode selected is displayed in the status bar at the base of NuPhone .
  3. Set the Auto Response Message.

When you are available to receive calls, set the status back to Available.
