Video Wizard

To utilise the NuPhone Video wizard, your computer must be fitted with a video camera of the type listed under "Equipment Required for NuPhone". The installation of the video camera must already be completed and the camera tested using the preview software provided with the camera.

Ensure that no other program is attempting to use/access the camera before starting the NuPhone Client software.

During the post installation configuration phase, the Video wizard is presented at the completion of the Audio Training process. It may also be accessed by running NuPhone and selecting Tools -> Video Wizard, when NuPhone is not on a call or in a room.

This wizard ensures the video components of your computer are correctly functioning, and positioned for optimum performance.

It is essential that you test the camera and its software before continuing with this wizard.

Camera Selection

  1. Select the appropriate camera device from the available options displayed in the list box. Once selected the Preview button becomes available.
  2. Click Preview to view the image at which the camera is pointing.
  3. Position the camera so that it is pointing at the image you wish to send to others.

  1. The wizard will detect the computers processor speed and display the result. This information helps NuPhone to configure the video system settings to match the available processing power. The result will allow slower computers to send video faster while more powerful computers can send high-speed video with higher image quality. If the computer speed displayed does not match or closely reflect the computers true speed, manually select the speed range it should fall into from the drop box provided.
  2. Click the Properties button (above) if you wish to adjust the camera settings. A Camera Properties window providing camera controls similar to that depicted below will appear. Make the appropriate adjustments and close the window.
  3. Click Next (above) to continue.
